Slowing Down, a new face of European Education

As it had happened when the foreign teams arrived, each team was accompanied to the airport both by the host families and the Portuguese team teachers .  We're all sure for all of us involved, the meaning of "Slowing Down" will never be the same anymore. 💓💝😍😘🙏💓💝😍😘🙏💓💝😍😘🙏💓💝😍😘🙏💓💝😍😘🙏💓💝😍😘🙏💓💝😍😘

The day started with the students creating entries for this blog.  In groups, all of them told in their own way, what and how they lived during the whole week.  After lunch at the school canteen, it was time for Certificate receiving and gift exchange. It was a very emotional event, when everyone started realising they will be apart. There was crying, lots and lots of photos, hugging and kissing and the general feeling that they might not see each other again.  After an emotional goodbye, the students gathered to go shopping and having a final dinner together, while the teacher reunited and had a lovely meal.  This was the perfect closure for an unforgettable experience.

And it was time to leave but before the whole place had to be cleaned and brought to its original shape.  After a critical breakfast with some items already missing and the Portuguese team having to manage all the necessary tasks, the whole group collaborated to clean and tidy up the whole building. Every single inch was done and finally everyone left to go back to Almada.  It was then time to get the school canteen ready for the final party.  While the Portuguese team and many host parents helped prepare the space, the foreign teams took some time to visit Almada, do some sightseeing and were received by the local Mayor.  The final party was an event that will stay in everyone's memories forever. From parents to students to teachers, everybody had so much fun and the feeling of belonging dominated the whole group. When the dancing started there were no more teachers and students and parents, just a group of happy people enjoying every moment together.  A cake with the project logo

And on the 4th day, 3rd in Arrábida, the whole group spent the day at the beach, the beautiful "Figueirinha" . The day started with numerous activities in the sea. The students and teachers totally enjoyed the warm and clear sea .  Lunch time consisted of sandwiches, snacks, fruit and juices. In the afternoon everyone continued enjoying the beach and before leaving Mauro offered everyone a Yoga session. This activity helped everybody relax interact and prepare for the evening.  After a great dinner prepared by the Greek and Latvian teams, everyone got ready for the "White sunset party". It was a time for the whole group dressed in white to have fun, enjoy each others company and to dance the nigh away. From start to end this event was the perfect ending for this 4 day adventure in this unforgettable location. We are sure everyone will keep the memory of these days forever.
